In November 2025, Kitzbühel will once again transform into a stage for filmmakers from all over the world.
The Kitzbühel Film Festival is dedicated to supporting national and international talents, offering them a platform to showcase their works to a wide audience as well as to professionals from the film industry and the press.

A festive alpine idyll which can hardly be beaten. From late November until Christmas, Kitzbühel's historic centre is transformed into a Christmas wonderland. 34 charmingly decorated stalls entice you to take a leisurely stroll through the old town. With a cup of mulled wine in your hand, you can roam from booth to booth, savour some Tyrolean delicacies and discover high-quality handicrafts – you might even find one or the other Christmas present.

Backdropped by the imposing mountain called Wilder Kaiser, the Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel kicks off again. The polo tournament is considered to be the world's biggest competition on snow and offers top-class sports performances, complemented by exclusive fringe events. As every year, visitors are sure to be delighted by the culinary highlights and variety-packed and entertaining programme. 

During the infamous Hahnenkamm Race, the world's best skiers display their skills at the Super-G, rush down the Streif and prove themselves in the legendary slalom. Besides all the thrilling moments which can be witnessed by the breath-holding spectators in the finish line, the entire town turns into a massive celebration. Exclusive after-parties, wild hustle and bustle in the historic centre and a particularly unique atmosphere – an exhilarating event, each and every time.

On the famous Streif slope, it usually goes steeply downhill — but not at the Vertical Up in February 2026.
Here, the winner is the one who makes it from the bottom to the top the fastest. A truly unique experience, not only for the participants!

During the legendary downhill race on the Streif, skiers need just about two minutes to cover the 3,312-meter-long course to the finish in the valley.
Conquering the same route in the opposite direction, however, is a completely different challenge — and that’s exactly what the Vertical Up is all about.

An extraordinary event series where sports and action meet party vibes.
Experience pure adrenaline during Bumps & Jumps on the mogul slopes, the Spring Swing ski fun with its 80s theme, and the Kitzbühel Extreme Waterslide Contest.The series concludes with the Masters of the Swing Tournament – a unique combination competition featuring skiing and golf.
Exciting workshops, DJ sets, drinks, and snacks ensure the perfect atmosphere throughout.

The Austrian Alpine Open is an international golf tournament on the DP World Tour, one of the world’s most prestigious professional golf series.
The event alternates between Gut Altentann and the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith Golf Course.
Kitzbühel is proud to once again host this prestigious tournament, which attracts thousands of visitors and reaches a global TV audience of millions.

The month of June hosts a very special golf festival. An event packed with culinary highlights and top-level golfing. All set in a truly unique backdrop, where sports, games, fun and enjoyment reign supreme. A memorable experience to delight all senses!

At the end of July, the ATP World Tour pops up in the “Gamsstadt” – drawing the world's leading tennis players to the Leukental valley. The 80th Generali Open has lots to offer, not just in terms of nail-biting matches but also off the courts. These include the Kids Day, Ladies Day or the U14 Next Up competition, aimed at scouting young talents.

At KITZ Culinary Festival, Kitzbühel transforms into a paradise for food lovers at the end of August.
Regional top chefs, innkeepers, and local producers showcase their finest dishes and products – from traditional Tyrolean specialties to creative modern interpretations.

The focus is on regionality, quality, and sustainability, with locally sourced ingredients, short supply routes, and eco-friendly materials following the Reduce | Reuse | Recycle principle.

A true highlight for anyone who wants to experience Kitzbühel with all their senses!

Once again, it’s time to hit the pedals! Following its world premiere in 2021, the Kitzbühel Cycling Marathon will be held anew in September. Participants have to cover a total distance of 216 kilometres and tackle an impressive 4,600 metres in altitude. To top off the spectacle, there are two finish lines: the Kitzbüheler Horn mountain and the district Kitzbühel Vorderstadt. A challenging event with plenty of fun for young and adults alike.
